My greengage jam has set nicely!!
Considering the fruit was harvested from a lonely little tree in the corner of a council car park in the village, it will taste even better. This was my third visit to the tree - nobody else seems to bother, and last year, the fruit just went to waste. I plucked up courage this year and no-one has complained about me!!

I have become a member of the Ton-Up Club courtesy of my first ever(!) trip on the back of Bertha, Alpha Male Jazz Cat's beloved 1800cc cruiser.....
I suppose when it felt like my head was going to fall off I guessed we were going Quite Fast. If I had known at the time HOW fast...well....I'd never have made it to the litter box. Talk about initiation!!!!!!
Akshully, any excuse to hang on to AMJC most firmly is pleasing and good for my chi.

Feeling anxious is understandable - but you're right, things will be much better once you actually get there and settled in and start the course.
Hopefully there's a bit of excitement mixed in with the apprehension..
And I'll see you there in October!!!

1. All my class lessons are prepared until Christmas. 2. I have finished washing, disinfecting and greasing 45 plastic descant recorders. 3. I have discovered Starland Music Ltd who look as if they are going to be very helpful. 4. I think - only think but it's a start - I have solved my car insurance problem. 5. The first junior school staff meeting of the year was a pleasant and relaxed affair. 6. The garden, after a torpid summer, is showing the first beautiful signs of autumn.
I'm happy today - I even want to go back to school tomorrow!!

Similarly, from a teacher's point of view, it wasn't until I went back for the Autumn term that I would hear again the particular level and pitch of noise that accompanies Secondary School kids en masse - their chatter!
No wonder the birds get up early to have their say; otherwise they wouldn't get a chirrup in sideways!

A beautiful day, and we walked the only section of the disused Scarborough to Whitby railway line that we had not previously covered - Ravenscar to Robin Hood's Bay, 2 hours. In August we did the rest of the way to Whitby (in two stages), and in previous times have done the Scarborough to Ravenscar section. Mission accomplished!

After a tense wait caused by a very infectious bug I'm glad to say the cat I've adopted moved in today. She is domestic long hair tabby and white and over a year old. She settling in fast...ate all her dinner and rolled around to let me groom her. Im almost regretting booking for my orchestra's away weekend leaving tomorrow. I'm sure I'll have great fun though and Mr B can have a chance to bond with her.
