Didn't sadly. Last week we were doing "fun" songs, I brought all my music that I sang at home all the time, and my teacher's decided I have a lot of potential in one particular one - that I'm already a bit bored of, knowing it so well. I think it's to fob me off from learning an ultra-difficult to play (and sing) one. So I did that the whole time.

Then I went to a meeting of my musical theatre group, and was irritated that we were told we couldn't vote on what show we do next year - I won't be there, but the director has chosen one which my younger friend is not allowed to be in - Sweet Charity. She's Catholic and her mum won't allow it. When I brought up the fact that it could be a problem for a lot of our younger (10-15) members, people basically called me a prude! I'm not a prude! I'd be able to be in it no matter what!

So, I still need something to make me happy today! Is there any time left?!

Stay optimistic - it can definitely get better, and it will you know that....

Some of my As Level group, and some of the A Level group and a year 11 ... we went to a special school today to play for them... and seeing their faces and some of them dancing made me happy

It was a really nice thing to do, I really enjoyed it... just seeing their faces, they loved it. The teachers were so grateful as well, telling us we had made the atmosphere up for them.

As well as my music studio I now have an artist's studio! Well, almost there! I have turned the upstairs room in the cottage where my studio is into an art workshop so that I can paint away undisturbed. It has good natural light and lots of storage now, thanks to Argos. My music room is a bit fuller now that I have moved a lot more sheet music and scores down but the shelves there have room for it all and it is a good time to sort through it.

I did awful in the first set of past papers, but listened to the advice which helped me do so well this time

Ooh, Grade four is really fun. i dont know why, but i was looking through a past paper, i was looking at questions and figuring out the answers... i couldnt put it down

Hmm today.. *thinks* .. hmm... going to the gym... had a good session today

Gosh, I wish I could enjoy the gym!

Today... listening to my idol singing... just on youtube but it always cheers me up! Except when it makes me jealous and bitter for not having been born special, with such a great voice (I think I'd be capable of the necessary hard work if I had the talent...)

But today it made me happy!

I enjoy the gym... partly because I can go in feeling awful about things, but the instructors always put the smile back on my face... I have such a laugh in there Sometimes we dont even know why we are laughing... but apparently its good because laughing gives you a double work out

Laughter is wonderful! I've just come home from socialising with folk who run the Family Contact Centre here in Newbury (so missed the first night of the proms), and one of the ladies there was so funny. She has a real talent for making you laugh, and I feel so much better for it.

So that's what's made me happy today.

My sisters treated me to a Chinese meal and then we went to see the Mama Mia film at the cinema. Had a very good evening.
Still prefer the stage version of Mama Mia, but the film was a lot of fun

I'm going to see that with my mum and sister tomorrow! Glad it's fun, we don't often have girls trips out in our family!

Having a lovely day celebrating Bagpuss' and my dad's 80th birthday - we had two lots of cake, pink champagne and BALLOONS this morning and a lovely meal out tonight with Him Indoors and Loud Auntie From Los Angeles.

Pa is a VERY special person, as all who have met him will testify - and, apart from two gammy knees is quite remarkable and looks a good ten years younger than he is.

Quite a low-key but truly lovely day.

Whoops! I think I was a bit tired when I posted and I now realise it reads all wrong - er, it wasn't Bag's birthday (and certainly not her 80th ) - I meant it was OUR dad's birthday - er, oh dear *gets in a muddle*...but thank you for the birthday greetings to him!

I didn't think Bag would have a birthday without a thread being started on here! Good job I didn't say happy birthday to the "Old Bag"!!! I hope your DAD had a good birthday anyway..he sounds great!
