He gets all 22 stirches out at 9.00am. Then he will be able to rejoin his brother who has really missed him for the last two weeks. Lots of cuddles all round I expect.

My husband just called

He's abroad just now and I miss him dreadfully. I was expecting him to call tonight but he surprised me this morning. He's not been well and I've been worried so it was lovely to hear he's not any worse and that he's seen a dr. He's missing home too.

Yup, definitely me! I did a bit too good a job of pretending to be asleep, and fell asleep properly, only woke up at 1pm, so now my body clock's completely muddled

Giving my first ever Kodály lesson over the internet to a forums member in foreign climes (courtesy of skype) - quite a miracle for a techno-idiot such as myself - VERY scary but, in the end, exhilarating!!!!

Talking to a friend... sort of. Finally getting someone else to leave me alone.

I am now! I was a bit down, til I sorted something this morning, can't really go into the details on here!

An ambient sort of time this afternoon; giving a lesson to a very lively adult beginner and watching her enjoyment as she used the bow for the first time, then being interrupted by the next pupil (an 11-year-old) who turned up half an hour early with her twin sister because they (unusually) walked from school and it took them much less time than they thought it would. So I asked them to sit on the wall outside and wait as it was sunny and warm, and took them out some chocolate, which they appreciated, in a 'mm, yum yum'ish sort of way.

Then in came the girls, and the one who was my student played some really nice jazz (after I refitted her bridge which had collapsed), plus some bits and pieces she'd written herself. Afterwards the three of us chatted about their very exciting holiday to come (big travels), then off they went. A little while later the mum came looking for them but she wasn't worried when I told her they were ambling home. Then the mum and I had an ambient chat until she went off home.

It was a really enjoyable hour and a half - especially chatting to the two girls about their exciting holiday - such sweet kids. I feel very privileged to have had such a lovely ambient afternoon so near the end of term.

But I am a techno-idiot and don't know how...

How do you cut and paste pictures into posts? I've never been able to work it out.

find the picture you want on (eg) google images, and get it to the point where you have the image full size on its own on the screen. Copy the URL for this.

When writing your post to insert the picture, type '

To display your own pictures from your computer, upload them onto photobucket or something, and copy the IMG code straight from there into the post.

School's out! No more (paid) work until 2nd September!

So far today, what has made me happy is going downstairs to the other side of the house where there isn't anyone to wake up, and singing really loudly, just because I wanted to. What would add to this happiness would be the ability to sleep now.

hi all i am super happy i have a kitten xxx i have called him mozart my husband who always said no to a cat changed his mind ( six years of nagging will do that ) to my surprise he is the one fussing over the kitten even letting it sleep on the bed.

Find the picture you want in your post. You need to URL of the picture, not the page it is sitting on. You can do this is two ways:
1) This isn't always an option - but often you can click on a picture and get it so that it is big and the only thing on the page. You can then copy the URL (http:// bit) from the address bar of your browser.
2) You should always be able to do this - right click on the picture and click 'Properties'. The URL will be there and you can highlight it can copy it with control-C.

Then, go in to your post on the forum. When you want to insert an image, click on the little picture of a tree at the top of the editing box. That will make a thingy pop up and ask for the URL - you paste in the URL you have just copied in 1 or 2 above.

That should be it.

You will see it put tags around the URL of [ img ] so you can do it without clicking the little picture of a tree if you want to.
