Thank you all very much. It's been a tough year for him (and my twin sister) but they can now look forward to booking a holiday and putting their house on the market. smile.gif

He needs to be checked every four months, so he's not completely out of the woods, but he's free of cancer at the moment, which is great! party1.gif

A walk in the woods this morning - it was still misty, some bits were still frosty, and I saw two fawns bouncing about the place. I got mud all the way up to my knees, my walking boots became non-waterproof and I ache now, but it was worth it. smile.gif (having my "summer holiday" from studying in autumn is great!)

Fab band rehearsal tonight, lots of sight reading and also a mini Double Bass lesson, and booked some flute lessons for after christmas too. biggrin.gif

Hahahaha!

Was just browsing recorder music on eBay. One of the two managers who works here wandered past.
"What are you shopping for?"
"Oh, just music"
"Recorder music? You're worse than my wife"
"Mmmm, I brought home my ninth instrument at the weekend"
"Nine recorders?!"

Cue discussion of recorder sizing and pitches. Nary a mention of browsing music during working hours smile.gif

I suspect everybody else in the office has now confirmed my insanity
This manager sings in a choir, his wife plays the cello and she also joined the SRP where I used to go (I keep having OU stuff on Saturdays which clash with SRP!) - we overlapped for a few sessions though. He was telling me earlier this week that she asked if she could go on a recorder weekend course (he said that was fine, he gets a weekend of feet up watching telly!)

With much patience today, we have managed at last to teach our one year old grandson how to blow his nose biggrin.gif .

Now all we have to do is get him to wait until a tissue is in front of his nose before he does the blowing ph34r.gif ill.gif

Then wait for him to start blowing raspberries to fool you he's blowing...or is it just my nephew that finds that very funny?

I made a big mistake with my son on this one! I got into the habit of holding the tissue to his nose and saying, "Blow". This was all great until his second birthday party, when the customary blowing out of cake candles was required. Yes, you've guessed, I said, "Blow".... ill.gif
