Coo. I've been contemplating NAS storage for a while but I'm making do with a 1TB external drive.

That's what I had, and it has started to degrade. So I bit the bullet and got a Dlink DNS 323 - I found it easy to set up but I am a bit of a linux geek.

I got news from the university that I've been awarded a scholarship - this could not have made me more happy! I'm having serious money troubles at the moment (I don't even have enough to pay for food, never mind my rent), so a scholarship is fab news.

Hey! That's great.

I was in the same situation last year, and have now been awarded a scholarship, so I know how it feels.

I'm happy because today I made my conducting debut...! And I LOVED IT!!! I was quite sad to hand the proverbial baton back to Barry really. Bring on next time.

Having got somewhere with finding an accompanist for my music exam on Sunday 5th December.
She did say it was conditional on public transport running and that the music was learnable in a reasonable amount of time.

Wow loads of fab news on here in the last few days!

My husband ordered a camera.
It was supposed to despatch in 2-5 days.
When he'd heard nothing in 8 days, he got in touch with them.
They apologised and said they'd send it out priority.
Via a courier.
Two days after that we had nothing, so he checked his online tracking.
They'd allegedly tried to deliver Friday - no response - left a card. Only we had no card.
So my husband phoned them up and explained, it took them ages to be able to do anything without a card tracking number ('I didn't GET a card!!!') Agreed for them to leave it with us or one of our neighbours - specifying 110, 112 and 113 (we live at 111).
Tuesday, got home, nothing, looked it up online 'delivered at 12.15, signed for by NSR'. Who is NSR and where do they live? We have nothing, the nominated neighbours have nothing, check houses 105-115, nobody has anything.
Today my husband again speaks to them, they say they will interview the driver. He says he left it in the recycle box. We again check our recycle boxes (two), wheelie bins, neighbours' recycle boxes. Nothing.
Doorbell goes about five minutes ago. It is the gentleman from house number 1, saying 'I found this in my recycle box'.
It is clearly labelled for 111!
Now very happy as we have the camera (have been very annoyed/concerned), going to never use that shop again and make sure the courier company get a stroppy note about teaching their drivers to read!

The OU phoned me up today and confirmed that they recommend that I switch over to AA317 instead of TA212 in February. This means that I don't have to worry about finding the money for AA317 and have all the messing about of cancelling TA212 after the start date and receiving only 80% back. The problem was that I paid some of it in Tesco clubcard vouchers. Thank you OU for being so understanding and helpful.
