The gas man was so lovely. He has a son of 20 yr old who is a professional drummer, and he gave me his phone number and said for Nils to ring his son and chat drums with him. Said his son would be more thn happy for Nils to come round and play on his £16,000 worth of kit. (Have to say Nils was very interested in this!!!!!!!) Isn't that lovely, he only came round to service the boiler! Lovely guy.

Starting a second course of antibiotics - double-strength this time - that will hopefully kick this very painful ear/throat infection that has been knocking about now for nearly 6 weeks.
Had to pitch up at A&E again last night...

I'm happy because I had a bath in my newly renovated bathroom and it was delightful looking at the beautiful cupboards and objects and pretty soaps and plants, instead of bare plaster and tatty floorboards!
I got an "Exam Congrats" card today - for music grades!!
I've been taking the things since I was 6 and this is the first time any of my family have done that and I'm really chuffed.
Usually it seems like academic exams are the only ones that people understand or recognise. I've worked my socks off this year (at both grades and academic stuff) but just took it for granted that no one would think the practical side counted for much. So it's really nice to know that, even though they don't really understand what's involved with it all, they recognise that the practical side means something. :-)

Getting to finish work early and thinking about all sorts of musicy things!!
Someone telling me that they would like to be me when (if) they grow up. That made my day!
