Me too!! Actually appear to have sorted my tuning problem out, which in turn gave me confidence....
and then the Bandmaster asked me to play a second piece on the violin with the band in the concert next week. He must have been pleased with the first.....and I managed to sightread it, already amplified, and not make a mistake or fall apart with the shakes, whch is a massive confidence boost for me.

An awesome evening!!

Just returned from a lovely meal out with friends - there were 16 of us. It was supposed to be our Christmas meal, but getting a date we could all manage in December was impossible, so we went tonight instead. party1.gif

Got my bedroom windows cleaned whilst teh sun was shining in .... smile.gif No mean feet as I have to clean teh outside of them by sitting on the windowsill and stretching my arm through the gap made by teh open window.. wacko.gif (We have a conservatory below)

smile.gif sounds like she has really settled in. Mine is also gaining confidence and actually was brave enough to try and sleep on the end of my bed all night - I had lovely toasty toes

Excellent - I hope mine gets to that level at some point! She is still quite skittish and had to bury herself at the back of a cupboard trembling... after my friend and I carried my friend's baby buggy up the stairs.

I've been away this weekend so actually this is for Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday I played in the Market Harborough Orchestra concert smile.gif, first time in an orchestra, was very strange sitting and counting (well attempting to count) 20/30 bars of rests rather than playing most, if not all of the time. Getting to spend time with some lovely people also made me very happy biggrin.gif

Today, I'm hoping to get back to practising the pieces for my clarinet.gif lesson on Saturday yay.gif

Clari practice went well this evening. Pieces are a bit rusty after only a week of not playing them ohmy.gif but I think they'll be ok by Saturday. Still don't know which one to play in Glasgow......

Amazingly quick! Less than two weeks since eBay purchase and it had to come via a PO Box in the States...

A fantastic band rehearsal last night in prep for Friday, I got most of the flute tricky bits to sound good even when I'm not managing ALL the notes and managed to stay relaxed.

Last rehearsal before performance is tonight, doing my violin solos with the core of Drums for the first time - can't decide whether I'm biggrin.gif or ill.gif

Car fixed (kind of... hopefully...)
.Concert plans almost sorted for tomorrow, and getting my friend a violin for her birthday and "helping" her learn where the notes are (ie. laughing at her a lot as she screwed her nose up at the hideous sounds coming out it!!!) - she is a music teacher who plays piano, loads of brass instruments and sings, so was very amusing! however she will get her own back next week when I dust off the trumpet i never learned how to play!!
