Tried to teach my niece how to do "swivel-hips" on their 8ft and got somewhat stuck on the turn ... laugh.gif huh.gif

Swivel hips -

*has bad memories of trampolining*

I remember doing a trampolining summer course when I was about 11 with my brother. He was really good at trampolining, but it really wasn't my thing! I could never really do swivel hips. I was also terrified of the trampoline. Then, at high school and at college, we had to do trampolining in PE.

My happy thing: fluting. Have rekindled the love for it after my diploma. Not that I've hated it, but just not found the desire to pick it up and practise properly.

I can walk around comfortably outside without a jacket. It's the middle of February. This EXACT time last year (literally within a week) we had a massive blizzard (~2 feet of snow).

it is finally Friday after a week of running on empty.

also, despite it being a horrible week, I know that I will do OK tomorrow at Egham - I know that 10 years ago I would have been horribly affected by any sort of stress.

Had friends around for Sunday lunch. Aside from the nice company, the fact that the meal itself seemed to turn out alright has made me very happy! I don't often cook for other people so was feeling a bit nervous about it!

All went well, washing up is all done and I have left overs for tea. smile.gif

How exciting! smile.gif I love my viola, but it would be nice to go "viola shopping"! Maybe I should start a collection biggrin.gif

Speaking of happy things... very, very shallow, but I'm happy that I've finally made it into the "front half" of the viola section (4/10)! I doubt that it's actually a reflection of improvement, but I'm still glad I'm qualified to sit in the second stand laugh.gif And we're playing really exciting repertoire: Also sprach Zarathustra by Strauss and the third Leonore Overture by Beethoven! yay.gif

Just spent nearly 2 hours on websites and telephone. Intending to change my broadband and phone line supplier from BT to another (Plusnet). I calculated I would save approx. ?250/year.

Rang BT for a 'MAC code' (something essential in order to change) and the girl asked me why. I told her. She said "let me see what we can do to match it". And she did! and uprated my speed from 3.5 to 13, given me free anytime phone calls and included MacAfee protection - enabling me to cancel my current seperate MacAfee deal (in due course).

All in all, a couple of hours well spent. worth a call if anyone else is in a similar position.
