It is. Hadn't seen each other since early January. It was good to see each other again.

Three A*s in Biology/Chemistry/Physics modular exams.

However, I'm more impressed with my friend's results - she got an A* in Chemistry, an A in Biology despite not answering any of the 'long questions' (she has extra time and a scribe but still couldn't finish) and a B in Physics... despite only answering 2/3 of the paper

40 posts late, have now realised I am at last a prodigy!

My mum's car is being serviced tomorrow so she drove her car over there tonight and I drove her home - we will do the reverse trip tomorrow evening. She saw that I had my iPod in the car, and asked if there was any device that could use to record the radio while she was out, so she could then listen to the things she missed later.
I said there was indeed, and that she could listen on her computer any time ('Like iPlayer?', 'Yes, except you don't have 7 days, you have as long as you like'), and if she had an mp3 player she could take it with her anywhere.
Anyway, rather than just drop her off at her house, I went in, upgraded her iTunes from 8.2 and then subscribed her to the Archers Omnibus edition. So she can listen when working on her computer - and it will automatically download the new omnibus each week, and she can click on pause if she wants to go and make a cup of tea, and switch off the computer if she wants and then when she turns it back on it will be ready and waiting at the very place she clicked pause, to start off again from there.

This has absolutely made her day! And I am just very happy because of that

Seeing son have a fantastic day - birthday party and lots of excitement over present opening after.

Sleeping soundly now and I'm settling down with tv and glass of wine.

Plus hearing that my nephew's a winner in his BMX race today.

It only just gone 10pm, and I've finished the work I told my design project group I'd do over the weekend! (I usually don't pack up work until 11pm at the moment!) I actually have an hour of free time... that I don't quite know what to do with....

And the best things is, I also made time today to sit down and read a new book. And to spend some time talking about various futurey things with my boyfriend. So its not like I've been working too madly!

Accompanying three young musicians in a competition. The winner was one of my accompanees (is that a word?!) so I'm off to the National final!

Concert last night was fun but much too short - our wind band was one of three acts. Only four short pieces: two beguines, the theme music from Twister and the Pink Panther.

I've been playing my flute would have liked to have been practising the violin but decided it was too noisy to bring and wouldn't be fair on the ears of my colleagues

Have been offered a short term job which means I can now sign up for a theory course and OH is taking me to an instrument auction (and letting me bid!)

My 'cello lesson was OK - but it doesn't beat the news the above two forumites have shared today

OH's scan was clear today which makes it a full year of being cancer free. I feel an immense sense of relief and can actually start looking forward to going on holiday now.

Thank you! Great news about OH. I know how you feel. My brother in law was declared cancer free just before Christmas last year. (He had Hodgkins Lymphoma). He's having a routine scan in April just to check things out. ( )

What's made me happy? Last night was my first insomnia free night for goodness know's how long!

I went to a concert last night, DC, and the last item was the Beethoven triple concerto - so full of joy. I thought of you; it just felt an appropriate item!

I still have a job

Hope the scan goes well, it is always a nervous time. I always feel like I have to prepare myself for the worst in the days leading up to the them, but so far so good!

He wasn't going to need another one for 6 months but consultant realised that they had "forgotten" to do a brain scan after his final round of treatment, He had lung cancer which apparently often spreads to the brain. So he still has that go in April, and then it will be September I think before the next one.
