Now just to think about what to buy...

I'll almost certainly be there : that will be getting dangerously close to my ATCL, so it's highly unlikely I'll do the RNCM saxophone day this year - will be staying local as much as possible (don't worry lois - your concert in November is the exception to that rule biggrin.gif )

Cool .... Remind me to ask you about interpretation of some of that on Monday. I'd be interested in what your teacher's said re the ornaments. smile.gif

Not today but yesterday MissF took part in her first "pupils concert" at her school.

She played a non-straightforward (sort of syncopated) piece and pulled it off well. She skipped a couple of bars at one point, realised but kept going and teacher eventually compensated in the accompaniment. I doubt anyone else will have noticed. Got a lot of positive comments from other parents and showed my teacher the video today and he was impressed too yay.gif smile.gif

She and one other girl (a flute beginner) from her class were the youngest in the concert. smile.gif

Swell Box Junior arrived several days late, and nothing much has changed since. Indeed, if he were Spanish, I doubt that he would have a word as urgent as 'manana' in his vocabulary. rolleyes.gif

Ha... all my children were late (so was I). I was induced with 2 of them. My son is still laid back... but child no. 3 who was also induced has never stopped! She wasn't a good sleeper when born and does excessive amounts of gymnastics and does a fair amount of other sport and music and still doesn't sleep. She is now 12- I would say she is the opposite of laid back! Maybe she just didn't want to come out to meet her siblings!

Went to Cambridge for an OU tutorial. Then took myself out to lunch at a rather nice pub/bar/food place. Then wandered round some shops...went to Brian Jordan Music and found a book about ornamentation by Monteclair. Went to Heffers Sound and came out with a Pamela Thorby CD and a The Sixteen CD. Then went to the chocolate shop and bought my mum a box of chocs. Ooooh, good point, she'll be here in under an hour, better go and scribble in the card.

Finally completed, to her satisfaction, a 70 minute CD of piano music for my grandaughter's wedding. Civil ceremony, so it had to be non-religeous music. 50% new-age romantic chosen by herself and the rest a variety of pieces I already had under my fingers.
