Pixie Two-Jags or Two-Jags Pixie sounds better, (if you don't mind being reminded of a politician from Humberside). biggrin.gif

So which Jag would you really like? I must say I really like the look of the XK/XKR, but it is not entirely practical. I also like the late XJ model, which has just been superceded, but finding a parking space big enough would not always be easy.

Congratulations to Tamsin on your MEng. What do you plan to do now (other than celebrate of course)? smile.gif

Yes, I sent an email. My emails are... rather infamous amongst those who know me well. They tend to communicate my emotions very effectively. I think I probably ruined some HR-persons day. ph34r.gif Anyway, by the time I got home from going out the day after I sent the email, I had 3 voicemail messages and two emails from the person I contacted, and my location was confirmed. blush.gif

(Obviously I then sent the lovely HR person an email that hopefully expressed my warm appreciation just as effectively!)

I can't believe it. Did the flageolet / harmonic exercises, my teacher gave to me yesterday, today. Beside that I got adviced to play the Cantabile from Telemann Sonata with a realy big colorfull tone in forte. And? I never before produced such a big, colorfull tone.
And she told me yesterday to try practicing everything, from g second octave on, not with the original fingering but with fingering for flageolet / harmonics to improve. And it works like a machine.

Hahaha I battling to get one never mind two. sad.gif

I like lots of Jags biggrin.gif

Ones I'm seriously shopping for:
60s Jaguar 420 or Daimler Sovereign (yes, yes the model sounds "chavvy" but it's a beautiful car.)
Series 1, 2 or 3 XJ6
XJC

Dream ones or would like to have one day:
E-TYPE biggrin.gif biggrin.gif wub.gif wub.gif wub.gif wub.gif wub.gif wub.gif my dreamy, dream car. wub.gif
XK150
I too like the XK8/R and would like one for a bit one day smile.gif
Mk.X/420G

ETA - XJ6s aren't that big and everything is easily visable, making parking easy - or is it infact not normal to find massive saloons the easiest thing to park?? I have not driven a late shape XJ, only some Series 1-3 cars and an XJ40 but if they are a similar size to the XJ40, which is larger than the "Series cars" they will fit in pretty much every car park space with ease. smile.gif

I want a solfa sofa. No, I'm not sure what one is or how it works, but I do want one smile.gif

I am happy as I am begining to get some insight to stuff that has been going on in my head. Said stuff is not necessarily getting any worse or better (at the mo), but I have become aware of it. I blame this on the fact that I have recently started doing a guided mindfulness/meditation thingy and here I am on day 8, and it feels like it actually is going to make a difference smile.gif

Yes, I think I want a solfa sofa too. Perhaps when I sit on it it will enable me to work out the solfa for fiendish pieces of music (dictation still not my strong point)!

Seeing my little one and all his class put on a splendid class assembly this morning - all based around the book "Commotion in the Ocean"

My son was a walrus and he had to fill in for his missing walrus partner today as the other child was absent. He didn't quite get all the words right but near enough. wub.gif

They'd even made a little film which they showed us .... and they sang "Oh I do like to be beside the seaside" complete with some actions...... aaaw smile.gif

I'll claim two entries on one post -

yesterday was evensong at Southwell Minster - our church choir of almost 30 plus the Cambridge Kiwani's Boys Choir from Canada who are over on a visit. The combined sound, backed by superb organ playing was a joy to be part of.

And today was church service - absolutely packed, because our guests from Canada also attended. We had to check the condition of the roof at the end of the service! chorale.gif
