Agreed. It was horrible and misty and rainy in the lake district, and it's cloudy here, but quite hot and humid, so it's going to rain soon, I reckon.

Driving in to work (this isn't the happy part)...listening to Red Priest

...who were playing a piece that I played in 1990 for my G4

I'm sure they played it much better than I did
getting to work with horrid stomache ache I started to search my desk drawer 'just in case' in the certain knowledge I'd eaten my last 2 paracetamol last month and not replaced them to find a full box with a post it on top from one of my office mates saying 'to repay you for all those I've knicked'. I could have hugged her!

Finding some of my old drawings, 'A' Level History essays, old practice 'O' Level Music papers, scrapbooks from the early 70s (EEP) containing my passions of the time (Pete Duel being the most special

) and prospectuses for all the Colleges of Education that I applied to...oh, and bits of my old school uniform

!
Not forgetting bits of Bagpuss' uniform and her books full of stories that she wrote from when she was about 6

There's nothing to beat it. Had I got home from work earlier, I'd've gone out for a ride, despite the rain. Actually,
because of the rain.
It's due to be monsoon conditions tomorrow, but I am heartily tempted to cycle to work. I probably do need a proper waterproof jacket before I do that though...

Going to a barn dance this evening with another couple who are our best friends. The music wasn't wonderful, but there was a lovely atmosphere and lots of children joining in. I love things where all ages can get involved, and there was even a lady in a wheelchair who was able to join in one of the circle dances thanks to someone pushing her chair. Feeling all happy and tired now.
