My violin exam is finally over...

However, I'm really VERY disappointed with my sight-reading...
The piece is SO difficult and it contains lots of shifting...
I got completely wrong rhythm and was out of tune as well...
I must fail my sight-reading this time...
I've never failed one before...

Very upset now...

Don't worry too much- usually you think you've done a lot better than you think! smile.gif

So true... Good luck with your result smile.gif

Things might not be as bad as what you think. I bet you might be doing pretty well for the pieces and hence the examiner gave you a nasty one for the sight reading piece.

Good luck for the result biggrin.gif

Thanks so much, everybody!

I'm in G5. I really find the shiftings hard, and there're lots of them in my sight-reading test.

I'm not living in UK, and I have to wait for about 8 weeks for my results to arrive. Hope they will be fine~

Oh that's a long wait. I'm from Malaysia, but lucky nowadays the waiting time has been reduced to one month at the most for results. If your exam is say, June 27th, you're in luck, cos the minute it's July, you can go collect your results! biggrin.gif
Yes, you might not have done quite so badly for your exam. Last year I made the mistakes you described, most notes out of pitch, hence key mostly wrong, and rhythm also shaky, but I still got a 17.
And yes, like Katet, when I thought I'd failed my piano exam, I still got 107, and when I thought I'd get a distinction, I only got 126 because the examiner said I played the second piece way too fast for "Adagio" even though it was semiquaver triplets throughout the piece and I followed the metroneme mark given (at 92 quavers per minute-which is awfully misleading in this case!) and hence failed me on that piece.
