Whilst not exhaustive, i've listed most of the common styles of Jazz. Certain artists have played in several styles so you may wish to choose the style you most preferred that particular artist/s playing in. For example I enjoy listening to Miles Davis and John Coltrane and both have played in many styles but i esp enjoy the modal music they recorded eg 'Kinda Blue'.

I love Jazz! To be fair I like every style, but a toss up would be between cool (west coast), Hard bop, Modal and Fusion - They're my fave styles..

I loooove listening to be bop and hard bop but tend to play more fusion kinda stuff

Same here too, what i love to listen to and what i perform are not one and the same. We tend to play Bossa Novas/Jazz standards and pop ballads. Oh and of course Blues.
