I have a little list! (sounds like a song laugh.gif)

except this little list is of things to check/ask, and a list of possible dates.

If anyone who is likely to come to any Essex playday/event has any thoughts, let me know by the middle of next week, my site visit is towards the end of next week. smile.gif

If it's a day I can make I'd like to come along.

As I think I've said before, Saturdays during term time are usually out for me, most other days are possible. Unfortunately, I do realise that Saturdays are probably the best days for most other people.

Hoping to do a mix of days TSax, probably, as a rule, a mixture of Saturdays and Sundays. smile.gif

My intention is to do a couple of playdays this year, probably one in the summer, one in the autumn. In 2009 I would like to do more, including the possibility of a full-blown forum concert.

I have other ideas too, but will discuss these with Michelle before posting them. smile.gif

I have visited two venues in Braintree - and am happy to start organising a playday for this summer. Pencil in Sunday 3rd August for a playday, this date is NOT confirmed yet though.

Well that would be a date I could make, and it would be just after I get back from a week's sax course, so I should be playing well provided I've managed to get over the sleep deprivation by then!

Cool biggrin.gif

When it's booked, I'll post again on this thread. I'll get my recital and Anglesey done and dusted first though. smile.gif

Hi

I have just recently taken up clarinet (doing grade 3 this term) and would love to have the opportunity to play with others. Would I be too inexperienced to join the Braintree event on 3rd August?

No. You can come at grade 3 to any forum event/adult learner event/playday.

An update on Braintree, while we're at it : I'm still waiting for some paperwork from clarinet_michelle before I can get it booked. If I have to drift the date forwards (and it may now be very likely), I will let everyone know.

The key phrase you're looking for is 'xyz date has been confirmed' . smile.gif

Actually you can play at an Adult Learner concert even if you've only been playing a few weeks.

Thanks - hopefully I can make the date and manage not to panic/shake/squeak too much!

Unfortunately, it now looks unlikely there'll be a playday in Braintree this year, but there will, all being well, be a playday or two in 2009.

Clarinet_michelle has got back to me, and is wondering if people are still interested in a small, informal playday at some stage in the summer.

Won't specify a date yet, but just 'testing the water', so to speak.

Barry I would be very interested in a playday - Braintree is very accessible for me

Thanks for showing interest.

Still no further news on any playdays here, I'm afraid...
