It does that to me, too! I go to add industry, and instead it just adds me as a new person. Maybe you need to add X people per day before you can do industry stuff.

Incidentally, does anyone know how it's calculating the per-person-per-day thing? Is it by IP address? Or simply by cookies? If the latter, then I could just delete the minicity cookie and re-visit and it would count as a new action...

Edited to add: No, deleting the cookie and then going back doesn't make it see you as a new visitor. Well, it was worth a try

I've been at home with flu so maybe I have too much time to think about this...but I've noticed that going straight into the industry link doesn't add any new industy. All that happens if that you are counted as a new person. If you want to add industry and transport then this is one way of doing it:

1) go straight into http://abrsm.myminicity.com/ (so you show up as a new inhabitant)
2) then add ind to http address and hit return
3) then add tra to the http address and hit return

and you can only do this once per day. There might be other ways of doing it, but this works for me.

But you should only be able to do one thing per day, i.e. population OR industry OR transport OR security. But then it doesn't seem to be behaving right anyway (it lets me get away with more at home than from work )

I just managed to increase security (/sec) but the police must be really expensive because it won't allow me to improve industry today.

I think it just lets you do one thing a day - I did transport today because I'm trying to do something about those roads that lead to nowhere...

I managed to add security (sec) but when I then tried to add industry it didn't work. Then after that I added transport. My own theory is that is allows one less then the max number of additions available?

Seems to not work if you just click the link.
Paste in the basic link then type in/ind (or whatever you want).

We need more transport (75% and higher seems better). After you visit the site type /tra in the address and visit again. That will add transport. I'm finding that I can't add /sec and /ind int he same day. The police must be really expensive and adding police leaves no money left for industry, but there is always money for roads. I wonder if they modelled this on the Thatcher government?

(Which is fine, it's an odd thing for me to find myself addicted to / unable to neglect!)

Ah, probably should have reminded people, you can only click on one link per 24 hours. So you can be a new inhabitant today, and build new parks tomorrow, but you can't be a new person, build a new factory, sort out the roads and beef up the police force all in one day
