I can't find any recommended speeds for the scales in Grade 5 flute, are there any? My scale book is an older one and it's not in there and I can't find it on any of the syllabus information online.

I'm also finding it hard to get a couple of the scales done in one breath. Any idea how many marks will be docked for an unobtrusive breath? I'd rather play them well with a breath in the middle, than run out of air before the last note.

You need page 33 of These Music Exams!! This has not only the speeds on it, both for scales and arps, but also has a note at the bottom about breathing in scales
