Full Version: Easy Version Of Star Wars Theme Tune?

I have a couple of boy pupils aged 10 and 12 who really want to play Star Wars theme tune. They both adore the James Bond theme tune (in 54 easy winners). They are Gr 2-3 standard but if motivated can play harder pieces (and would be motivated by Star Wars). Lots of the 'fun' pieces for clarinet, like Disney etc don't appeal to boys!
Any advice where I might find a manageable version of Star Wars.... or fun pieces to appeal to boys this age and standard (have found 54 Easy Winners good.... they like Jupiter/Dad's Army theme tune etc).

Many thanks... anyone.gif

If you do a Google search for 'star wars sheet music' or 'star wars piano'...etc, you'll find plenty of ideas.

One of my favourite websites:

http://www.sheetmusicplus.com

Search for: Music From The Star Wars Trilogy

Scroll down to see the clarinet edition.

I'd recommend "Take The Lead: Bumper Book" for clarinet. It comes with a CD backing, lots of well-known pieces and is about the right level (includes Star Wars). I have a male year six pupil using this at the moment and it has really spurred on his playing and enthusiasm.

I played this off a photocopy when I was about their standard but it may be too easy..it was in a book with the pink panther and I think it showed you how to play some of the notes at the top of the page?...

We played teh Star Wars theme tune for our Christmas concert 2006. Great Tuba part in the March of Darth Vader. We got out conducter to conduct using a Lightsaber!

He declined lessons in how to use it properly.

May the forte be with ou!

I've got a book which has it in, called "Take the Lead", it's for flute but they probably make one for clarinet.
