Hi there!

Planning on taking my G2 theory in June, (if the AB EVER send me a username so I can register for it.....), but I want to have a look at something like past papers etc. Is there anywhere on-line that I can get them for free, or some kind of interactive tutorial/test at G1 & G2 that I can do? I know I can buy past papers and model answers from the AB, but it can get expensive if you want a few years of papers, plus the answers.... Any way I can do it for free? Or is there anyone who's willing to lend me theirs??

Ta! smile.gif

Each set of past papers costs £2.50 approx and includes 4 papers. One or two sets is plenty for grades 1 - 2 for most people. The entrance fee is £19.50 for the grade 2 exam.

I'm pretty certain Scheerers keeps past papers in stock, but if you don't go there, www.muzic-makers.co.uk will send them out postage-free smile.gif

Do you mean an applicant number? If you haven't heard soon, I'd give them a ring about it. I entered myself for Grade 1 and had to telephone them about it and I found them very helpful.

My local music shop keeps a box by the door with out of date exam stuff in, which they sell very cheaply. It includes some theory past exam papers and I've bought a couple of sets of papers for £1 each. Might be worth asking your music shop if they have a 'bargain bin'. smile.gif

Elisabeth, I've picked up a couple of sets of past papers from the Oxfam shop in Harrogate. Although unless you're going there anyway, you'd spend several pounds on petrol/parking/buses!

I regularly visit shops selling secondhand sheet music - let me know if you want me to look out for some for you.

Thanks for the ideas! I'll try and see what my local shop has, but I've never seen a bargain bin there in the 2 years I've been visiting. You never know though!

Oxfam in Harrogate? I do go there sometimes (HG, I mean), so I'll bear that one in mind. I'd love you to look out for stuff for me, but you'd always be wondering if I'd already got it and I'd feel I'd better tell you when I buy something in case you go and pick it up! laugh.gif tongue.gif However, if you see any old G1 and G2 theory papers over the next month whilst I'm at the other side of the world, yes please! wub.gif
