Hey, I'm really into elton john's rock ballad style piano, and his solo's, just search for I don't wanna go on with you like that spain, into youtube (something like that), there are fabulous solos', but I'm not sure how I would create one, I can improvise OK but all the best bits are elton's best licks/riffs!

So I'm basically asking if anyone could help me or if you're interested in rock piano

Listen, copy, develop. It might take time, but as you do this, you'll eventually create your own kind of sound that others may wish to emulate!

Don't just listen to Elton, focus on Davey, Guy, Bob etc too as well as lots of other players of that genre.

Yep, agree with John there.

Basically you can work solos out from ear quite easily. If you have the sheet music or chords those solos aren't usually included but you can figure them out around the chord structure you have.

Like the wee solo bit from "Bennie and the Jets" - use the chords you already have in the music and pick out the melody smile.gif
