Hi Everyone - it's been a while since I have posted. I took grade 3 violin in December and achieved a high merit (127) and was thrilled. I haven't gone back to lessons since due to work commitments and some holidays but the new term starts on March 31st so am keen to get going again. Really fell into a rut after the success at grade 3 and would like advice on how to get going again. I intend to purchase the grade 4 exam book next week but how do i get my fingers and mind to focus on what i knew before christmas....scales, studies (was starting to use schradieck) or old familiar pieces or new ones???

Congrats to Lottie for getting through grade 3 - I hope the results will reflect your hard work even if you feel it didn't go so well on the day. Has anyone heard anything of Jojo - did she also do grade 3?

Thanks in advance for any advice in getting back into violin - roll on Grade 4 - hopefully in November - might take a theory exam in the summer.

Try not to focus on the next grade too much, get out there and use your skills to join in with others and enjoy some ensemble music making!
