I'm putting together a simple website for our local music group and in the Links section I really don't have many sites for string instruments.

So could you tell me of any good websites you've found?

e.g.

Historical info
National or International Societies, Organisations
Forums
Online lessons
Advice & Tip for beginners
Improving technique
Choosing an instrument
Instrument care and maintenance
DIY repair

Recommended shops/Ebay shops for instruments, accessories, tools etc.

...etc...

Thanks,

Steve

This is the Internet Cello Society - not being a cellist, I can't vouch for its usefulness or accuracy though.

Thanks for all these. I know the EMS quite well and bought a Regency music stand a few years ago.

violinist.com is a very good site for discussion. A lot of top players post and write blogs there and it's very interesting to listen in.
