So there I was after Sunday Mass trotting out a Vierne Carillon - the one in B flat with the pedal motif that goes around about 15/17 times in the opening moments...

And the gathered faithful couldn't be bothered!!! Oh dear me... especially after working on it and building up the guts to play it on an under-developed 2M.

Consider your efforts appreciated at a distance.

I would have enjoyed it. I do like the piece - a bit of a screamer though. I'd like to try it on a organ with a 16' manual stop and have experimented playing parts of it an octave lower to achieve that effect, but I always go back to what's written.

...and so you should.

Ditto for the Gigout Toccata.

Same result as the Vierne...

A glutton for punishment I would be to do the Dupre Final.

Well first off, nice to see you back GC.

Secondly, it's time to move appointment. Do you not agree?

mate

nice of you to finally get around to me.

anyway - i think i'm ahead of you - there is another place requesting my services. only thing is the organ is smaller and i hear talk of throwing it out for an electronic job!!! dont care to get into that sort of church politics.

warily,
GC
