Hoooraaayy WELL DONE!! (grade 4 looks so difficult from down here!

)
Enjoy your 'treat' (hope it comes with a large slice of chocolate cake

)
No chocolate cake (I need to lose weight for my sister's wedding

) - lugging the sax around should help! Hadn't realised how heavy it is
With your track record, you'll breeze through grade 4, Lottie - mark my words!

Passed grade 4 violin - with merit!
Fantastic! Well done, I knew you'd do it, you play really well!!!

Thank you - that's very kind. You're pretty good yourself!

Judging by how you took to my soprano the other day, I can see you doing really well in the sax ensembles at Leeds in a few weeks time

Hmmmmm

I don't really know the notes - I somehow manage to 'wing it' if I know the tune so an ensemble might be a bit optimistic........
*hope you haven't caught my cold*

My treat? A second-hand alto sax

which I'm really looking forward to having a blast on - if I can figure out how to put it together

for you! Hope you enjoy playing it - it's a fab instrument!

Have fun with the sax, but don't forget that lovely violin!
I'm really looking forward to having a proper go on the sax tomorrow - the lady who sold it to me threw in some Rico reeds to get me started.
Thank you everyone for your good wishes. I can't quite decide what I'm more thrilled about - the result or the sax! I'm going to enjoy the next few days - although I do need to make it up to Mr LT sometime - the look on his face when I sheepishly showed him my 'treat'
