Hi guys!

Well, having got my AB on-line ap doofers whilst I was away, I've just registered for the Grade 2 theory and viola prep test in June, as agreed with my teacher last lesson. Theory is book work (mostly) and it doesn't matter if I gaff the prep test, so not tooooo stressful, but still decidedly sobering! I'll actually have to work now... Still, that's why I did it - to make myself work.

Anyone got any suggestions on a piece to choose for the free selection in the prep test? I've got 'Time Pieces bk 1', 'First Repertoire for viola 1 & 2', 'Superstudies for viola 1', 'Viola Time Runners' and a few other bits and bats.

remeber you cant actullay fail the prep test so you have nothing to worry about!

For free choice choose something you really enjoy playing.
You can leave this choice until quite near the exam really as you'll probably be learning some new pieces between now and then.
It can be something you learned quite recently or something from a while back that you love.
The one prep test student I had played an 'old' favourite and the examiner commented that it was obvious that he enjoyed playing it.

Ooh well done you, best of luck, i dont play viola so cant help you with the piece choice, however i agree with sbhoa, choose something that you really enjoy playing, that way it will make the experience a whole lot more fun for you.

Thanks for the cheering on, guys! I know I can't fail the prep test, which is partly why I'm taking it, but I still ahve to do some work and prac.... I'm really out of the habit since being away so long...

Wondered when you'd get around to entering!

Just go in and have a ball - no pressure, no expectations - just enjoy your playing!
