Closing date is in three days - you'll need to post applications in the next day or so. After the closing date, I can see who's coming, allocate finale parts as appropriate (it's going to be extremely flutey, it looks like!), and email them to you. You may have read that I had computer problems recently, it's now fine to open emails from me.

There'll be a non-flutey part for you, sbhoa, and anyone else who'd rather play something else

Also... I'd planned to memorise my solo piano piece but I've been so busy I don't think it will be memorised in time for the concert... is that OK or are we expected not to use the music?

Put it this way, ad_libitum: I'm planning to use the music for one thing I'm doing, and possibly for another.....

It's less than that 'til I set foot on Northern Irish soil noodle...

And I only have 2 weeks and 2 days to get everything sorted.
Have an extra piano lesson this week which might tell you something about how ready I am right now.

There something up the C key on my flute! Not the low C the octave above - it's coming out all blowy and weird... and I need it... for playing Cs with!

So far I've tried:

Fiddling the screws

Sticking bits of tissue under pad

Sobbing

Any other suggestions welcome

For some reason my printer won't work either Barry so I've had to practise while sitting in front of the computer screen

Someone up there doesn't like me very much at the minute

I like you though ad_lib, very much. We'll get it all sorted, I'll get my printer fixed and you'll be here on Wednesday anyway. We'll also go to a music shop to get both your flute and my saxophone looked at.

Thanks for those! It's being weird. The colour cartridge has run out but no matter what setting I use it won't let me use the black cartridge only

Will try and fix it later - as I can't bring the piano into the hall and play in front of the computer screen

I'm sure you've tried it ad_lib, but have you tried leaving the empty cartridge in the colour slot, and then trying to print in black and white only?

I tried it but it must be one of those annoying printers that insists you have both cartridges full... when I specify black only on the printer settings and then hit "print" it comes up that they have disabled the option and the cartridge used will now be colour...the cheek of it!

I think it's because it's being printed as a photo, so I opened it with paint and now it's printing OK - just a bit small, but I think I can enlarge it with the photocopier... what a palava
