Hello

I would like to know what is best for an older upright case of maybe a walnut finish. You oftenhear just a damp rag, no polish or silicone etc. I saw bees wax being used on an antique show on a piece of furniture. Surely this would keep the wood in better condition?

Open to suggestions

It all depends on the finish: Ask your piano tuner to advise you and in the meantime just dust it (and play it!).

I was in Chappells today and a lady was cleaning the pianos. She had a feather duster and a cloth. Although I did not actually see her spray it, there was a bottle of Mr. Muscle for windows very nearby.
