Hi everyone,
My Dip ABRSM exam is approaching!....My teacher told me to recite all the pieces, but I found that this is really a tough task for me! Since I had not made it a habit ever since I began to learn piano. My teacher told me that reciting the pieces would give a good impression to the examiner, is that correct? Also, is there any technique to recite the pieces?

i really don't know...i think it's best to recite your pieces.... good impression as well as avoid the following question aks by the examiner: Why didn't you recite your pieces.....
i can remember my pieces naturally....i don't have a problem.....

If by recite you mean play from memory (not just do your recital which you certainly should do!) then you might want to look at
this thread; it's someone asking whether they should memorise;there are also some good tips on how to do it.
