Full Version: Cello Music Question - Bit Cheeky

Hello
This is a bit cheeky so apologies, but I really need help in finding a piece of music for cello.

I get married in June, and have two very talented friends who play cello and piano. They need to know what I want them to play and I cannot find a suitable recessional.

I've chosen Le Onde by Einaudi for my processional, but he doesn't seem to do upbeat stuff though I love his music.

I'm not a big fan of all the traditional wedding pieces of music and I'd really like something that is triumphant and happy.

I do love Pachelbel's Canon but I'd like something I haven;t heard at every wedding I've ever been to! tongue.gif

Obviously I will ask my cellist for her advice, but I know she's a fan of Bach and I am not so much.

All ideas gratefully received.
Thank you

Some suggestions, if you can get the arragements

the bach magnificat
Luigi Boccerini's Minuet and trio, can be found on mfiles.co.uk for cello and piano
Elvira madigan, same again
Eine Kleine Nacktmusik, maybe for when people come in and sit down (always adds alot of class tongue.gif) Same again

She has suggested the gigues and/or courantes from Cello suites one and three.

Just listening to them now and trying to decide which are the most cheerful and bouncy.

She's such a good player anything would be lovely really. We;re so lucky to have her playing for us.

But make sure you get something you like, dont let her make you have something that she likes:
Its your day!
