Mine are Vivaldi, Brahms and perhaps Chopin.

Et toi?
czaire
That is a tough question because I feel that every composer is unique in certain aspect.
missfabflute

I quite like the duo, Mendel & Son, the well-known virtuouso, Bay Toven,

and the little known Brazilian composer from Amazonas - Hanna Condar.

I agree with Czaire though- it's impossible to choose!

I particularly love hindemith at the moment, and also Stravinsky from studying him for A2 music.
allegro
I like alot of composers music and I do agree that each of them produce wonderful music but if I really had to choose just one it would have to be Rachmaninoff
musical_me
right now i really enjoy playing kreisler's music on violin.
liebe_klavier
as i said it hard to choose...but still...i will say that Rachamninoff, Beethoven, Debussy, Schumann, J.S.Bach, W.A.Mozart, Bahrms....etc...etc...
LINNETBIRD
Mozart is a God of Music - I love French music thow - Massenet, Faure, Debussy, Chausson - I feel as thow they echo my very existence - I think its about what makes you tick - where your heart lies.

Also Love - Bach (what a guy), Britten(challenging but sooooo characterful) Puccini( Romance is still alive - yeay) and Vivaldi ( Gives me shivers)
James Brookmyre
I agree its very hard to choose. I am into alot of the English Romantic Contemporaries such as Ireland, Finzi, Stanford, Howells, Cooke, Rawsthorne, Jacob, Arnold and lots of others.....

I also love Brahms and Schumann, from the Romantic period. Handel, Albinoni and Vivaldi from the Baroque period, i love Rennaisance music too but i love all of the composers from there.

I like a bit of Bach and Lutoslawski too.......biggrin.gif

but i HATE ...... MOZART ph34r.gif
Ethie
I also like Celtic music, and the works.

I'm not sure about Mozart - sometimes it doesn't feel as if...well, they don't make me go 'man, I love Mozart' as Vivaldi does.

The thing with Mozart's Music is that its so Musically correct - its perfect. Here is a bloke who would have got 100 out of 100 in his Grade 8 Theory!

Like most people here, I like all kinds of music. If i was selecting a piece of music to listen too, the composers I would look for first are Beethoven, Puccini, Mozart and Chopin.

All the best,
Craig

Chopin is my favourite, especi~~~y his nocturnes and etudes.
missfabflute

i like piano
i like beethoven and mozart's music.lively, and like smashing the piano some time.really fun playing their music

That was the word I was looking for - Improvisation. I feel Mozart was extrordinary at this, I bet he could play any song in any key (melodic and harmonic minor) and backwards!
saxlover
i really like Mozart, but my fave has to be Einaudi, without question!
