incidentaly, biked down to the church to look on the noticeboard and see if anyone was advertising organ lessons.
The noticed bord is in the church, which was locked.

'Himatsubushi'? That's about all I can read, then I get lost - letters are about as much as I learnt... Not that I know what it means.
Weird, but funny game, all the same - for those of you a bit confused, you select the top option to play the game. Basically, move your mouse around the screen to prevent the man from grabbing or destroying your mouse. I got 779 the first time I played (well, the first time I played as well as realising what I had to do!)
I'm used to these trial and error things in Japanese having got reasonably far on Pokemon Green, Japanese, which came in a pack of 100 gameboy games before I even knew it existed in England. We learned to recognise a few words, but because we couldn't read it, we'd just make up names - we used to say 'Send out the fat singing one', until we later learned that its real name was 'Jigglypuff' when it arrived in Europe.
EDIT: 1264 now!

'Himatsubushi'
the next line is 'asobu' which means play

Ah, yes, just noticed that it pops up with the hirigana if you highlight over it. Not that that helps with the meanings...
Is 'Himatsubushi' just the name of the creator or something? And what does the second option say (and the stuff if you highlight over it)?
I guess the writing at the top means 'score' or something, right?

I think it's something to do with time. IIRC the last kanji is 'jikan' which means time-span
the second option is explanation, or how to play the game (ge-mu setsumei)

That's probably the most interesting part, the instructions!
Do they something along the lines of 'protect your mouse from the little man at all costs by waving it around the screen'?!
By the way, a little trick I worked out how to get a higher score (or to avoid the lampost thing he creates), is you just move your mouse outside of the flash playing field, around it, and then to the other side, making the mouse flick to the other side, avoiding all that is in between, giving you the ability to teleport just like he does!

it says something like 'don't get caught', or 'avoid getting your cursor caught'
(yajirushi o torarenai yoo ni ######e kudasai).
(and it says please at the end!)
I will try that - thanks.
(ed - haha - I should have guessed that would happen s-hite kudasai)
(ed again - I don't know what Himatsubushi means - bushi means a warrior - could be a manga character? any manga fans around?)
