I don't know why but I've had hard time trying to get registered.
Many thanks are due to Susan and Catherine over on Facebook for offering advice and to Edmund at ABRSM for sorting out the registration issue.
After many years of doing bits and bobs musically, reading the forum has been one of the things which has, at last, pushed me to get a bit more serious. I'm having a crack at something I first contemplated over 20 years ago - the oboe. So far I'm loving it and now I'm here I can starting asking stupid questions too.

pushpull! Come along to the forum event if you can! It's a great way to meet other forum members and to play in public. Doesn't matter what standard or ability you are. Everyone is very supportive.

Catherine -Katyjay, and Susan Sbhoa, are very helpful people and have been generous with their help both on facebook and forums.
(Although a few days off the computer and I find Katyjay has sent me a new garden full of plants for my lil green patch at facebook; it has taken me three days to plant them, similarly with shboa! It is looking very pretty now!)
Enjoy your time here. I'm prinicpally a singer though I play Oboe, Piano and Recorders too, and dabble with the Church Organ.

No, really I think this is a pretty inspirational forum and I reckon it will help keep me on the straight and narrow when I sometimes reach the inevitable doldrums.
