Has anyone been listening to Radio's 3 weekend of Chopin? I am continuing to listen to it from yesterday, and enjoying it so much.
JohnS
Yes, there have been some very good discussions about his music. Yesterday morning in one programme they were playing several recordings of just a few bars and having a good natter about the interpretations.

There is a lot of information on their website too, including three tutorials on his music.

Very enjoyable. biggrin.gif

I've actually turned it off, because as much as I like Chopin's music, I think to devote a whole weekend on a national radio station to it is rather excessive. You can get too much of a good thing...

David

Yes - I did the same.

Too much?? Chopin?? (sound effect: Robodoc's jaw hitting the floor)
Only if badly chosen/programmed or badly played, surely?

If I ever get sent to Roy Plumley's Dessert Island my luxury item will me a magic grand piano (magic in that always stays in perfect tune) and my book will be the complete works of Chopin, if necessary an edition specially commissioned for the purpose.

My discs . . . now there's another thread if ever I thought of one!

Dessert Island

What would it be made of? Chocolate, treacle, fruit, something else? It sounds like a great place to go to. wink.gif
