I was looking at the syllabus last night and noticed that Flight of the BUmble Bee isn't in the grade 8 syllabus where as dance boheme is.
Is this not rather odd? I would have thought that Bumble bee would have displayed more technical requirements than Dance Boheme.
Can anyone explain to me?
Im confused haha

Perhaps, it could be that the 'Flight of the Bumblebee' is considered too difficult for grade 8. Also, you mention technical requirements, but I think that both pieces require different skills. I haven't got the music in front of me but, as I remember, 'Danse Boheme' uses rolls, whereas the other doesn't. The main difficulty of the 'Flight of the Bumblebee' is the speed, whereas 'Danse Boheme' has many more contrasts, which could be what makes it more difficult.
