Hey folks,

I'm looking for the sheet music to The Hippopotamus Song by Flanders and Swann (the one that goes "Mud, Mud, Glorious Mud..." but I'm not having much luck. Does anyone know from where I could obtain it? I don't mind paying but I'd rather pay just for the one piece and download it than having to buy a collection if I can help it.

Thanks,

KK

I found a company that sells it here. I don't know what they're like to deal with as a company because I just found them using google...

The music may not be for clarinet though, probably for piano but you could just play the right hand if you want, that's where the melody will be, and transpose as necessary.

There is a book called " All The tunes that you ever wanted to play" Book One for C instruments which costs about £6-£7 and the hippopotamus song is in there. All the tunes are about grades 1-2.
There is also a book called " All the tunes you ever wanted to play" book one for Bb instruments but I'm not completely sure if the hippopotamus song is in there.
Anyway as long as you can play over the break you can play from the C instruments edition and you could always tranpose into a more suitable key if you wish. wink.gif

Thank you both so much! I ordered the book just now, it looks to be just what I'm looking for and cheaper than the sheet music (which looks to be designed for stage show or something, judging by the site), and the Bb version does indeed contain The Hippopotamus Song.

Cheers!
