As some of you may have seen in some of my posts before, I'm trying to teach myself grade 6 theory as my piano teacher who taught me so far doesn't teach the higher grades. I'm looking for a teacher, and after looking around a bit and not having much luck, I thought I'd ask on here!

I'm looking for something in the Reading area really...I thought Berkshire Maestro's did lessons, but I can't seem to find anything on their website?

Thanks in advance!! smile.gif

If you get in touch with the music department at the university, they may be able to put you in touch with a suitable teacher.
They don't offer music degrees there, but they do offer instrumental and vocal tuition and run various ensembles. There are music scholarships on offer (by audition) to people with grade VII or VIII minimum, so they must have links with a bunch of teachers who teach practical to quite a high level. Maybe one of them also teaches higher theory and even if none of the visiting teachers do, the head of music will probably know /someone/ in the area who does.
