I know there's another topic about this paper - but that's about practise questions.

How did the exam go for anyone else who did it today?

For me it didn't go great but didn't go bad. So i'm not too disappointed. I messed up the dictation so much though!
I liked question 3 though - it was the bach chaconne for violin which i'm very familiar with. As soon as it started i was like yayyy i know this! So the 'suggest a possible composer of this piece' and 'comment on the writing of the violin part' questions etc. were nice I ended up blabbing ooon and ooon about different double stops, string crossing, etc. though I was determined to cover everything they could have wanted haha so wrote loads!
The rest of the paper was... hmm... okkk. I got A's on my compositions, essay, etc. though so i'm hoping that i can get a C on the listening paper which should then average out as a B overall

Just out of interest, do you know the grade boundaries and stuff? Because I'm wondering how much I'd need to get to get an A grade which I have to get to be anywhere near a chance of being accepted to the university I want to go to!

I did the edexcel AS Music today though - Are you talking about the listening ffliwt? I swear question 3 didn't have any questions about the violin part

She must mean WJEC, cos I did that paper and had that question. It was an easy paper - quite short and nice music extracts. Never heard of that composer for the dictation tho...
