Going to buy my son a drum kit for his birthday this year, space and noise restrictions are pointing me towards a half-decent electronic kit. I have seen the Alesis DM5 on several sites and it's within my price range (£400 max really). Has anyone already got one or come across one and is it ok for a beginner 12 year old with the potential to last long-term?
