Do you think I would still pass?

List of mistakes:
- About one mistake in nearly each piece, I don't think I got the position shift in my 2nd in tune, and a false start to the third
- About two or three scales wrong, or out of tune
- Second part of aural probably completely wrong

*wrings hands*

I hope you have.

But if not, don't worry. Sit it again. It's only an exam. The only person who'll really feel the pinch is whoever's wallet is pillaged. Just enjoy music!!

I think you will. It sounds as if the pieces went okay, apart from the mistake in each.

Oh don't be such a pessimist. When I passed gr 7 with merit I did these mistakes:

-No pieces were perfect, at least 1 mistake every piece
-I got 18 for scales, but guess what??!? I failed 3 times in F minor arpeggio before the kind examiner showed me how to play it!
-The D section of the aural test was completely wrong
-The sight reading was terrible, only 13!

So I'm almost sure you'll still pass, even though you probably won't get a distinction. Try better next time!

i though i had done everything wrong in ma grade 4

but i didn't get a bad mark i got distinction

the examiners don't try to make u fail

they ll try 2 give u a good mark for what u have done!!!!

I'm sure you'll pass at least. They don't sound like very serious mistakes... especially if it was grade 4, as I seem to remember?

i'm sure that you are going to get at least a pass...just think..your teacher wouldn't enter you for the exam if she thought that you were going to fail

Just done Grade 7 Piano (22nd Sept.) (done well except aurals!)

You really don't need to worry. I got merit in G8 piano and I made 2 mistakes in my first 2 peices and I played 1 scale wrong SIX times before the examiner begged me to stop! I barely passed in Sight Reading (14) and I also made quite a few errors in the Aurals. So chill...........

don't worry i'm sure you'll do real great. Don't worry about it :-D I f you fail you can always do it again

i mucked up like almost all (seriously) all my scales. well i did about 3 right. then i played LOTS wrong, and the examiner seemed really nice about it. I also failed aural- i got 12 (is dat a pass, cnt remember!) I didquite a lot wrong too.

But i passed......... with merit too!!!!!!!!!
