Is this a grown-ups only event or could my clarinet playing daughter (12, by then, and Grade 5 ish) come provided I sat in?

Just finished finalising the hall etc.

The cost will be £6. I'll have the website complete within the next week or so, then you can send me applications!

It'll be a very relaxed day, playing through some single reed ensemble pieces, with a nice leisurely lunch break, then I'll book and/or find a restaurant to have a meal in after the event. smile.gif

There will be a maximum of 24 spaces, so early applications are advised!

Hmmm... How many Sundays am I allowed off?
Deborah
I doubt I'll be able to make it sad.gif

A local organisation is having an autumn ball that evening; even if I don't get roped into the setting up during the day, I'm not sure whether or not I'd be able to get back in time after Barry's single reed day.

Of course, if I can make it, I'll be there clarinet.gif

It'll be done earlier than most forum events (4pm), and isn't far from Central London (venue is in zone 2).

I'll keep my fingers crossed Deborah, it'd be fab to see you there! smile.gif

I'm really hoping to make it since it's virtually on my doorstep. I just need to check when my regular classes start back after the summer break - I've got a feeling it won't be until the following week which would be perfect.

Wonderful! Going to clear the PO Box every few days, so don't panic if you don't get your confirmation of your place as quickly as you might expect. smile.gif

First Saturday of term is the 20th sad.gif

But....rumour has it that my jazz teacher is in NY that week so is going to start a week later, and I have sax lessons every other week and I usually start the 2nd week of term (which would also mean I wouldn't have a lesson the day of my friend's wedding, v conveniently). smile.gif

I can check with my jazz teacher next week and provided the rumour is true I'll get the form in the post. If the sax lessons don't work out as neatly as I'm hoping I may be able to switch to a morning lesson that week, or fit things in some other way.

Form is filled in, cheque is written, both are in a yet to be stamped, addressed envelope. There's a very good chance they'll make it from my desk to a post-box at some point this week.

It could be doable in a day with an 11 o' clock start and 4 o' clock finish.

Four spaces gone, 20 to go, and assuming katyjay is coming along, that's effectively five spaces gone.

Hi barry-clari,

Did you receive my application and cheque for the single reed event yet?

Also will there be a reserve player as I will only know for sure that I can make it around 3 weeks before the event?

Cheers, Peter

Doing a couple more PO Box collections before I go to the NI forum concert. Anything that arrives in the PO Box after Monday 18th August will be collected/acknowledged after my return from Northern Ireland. smile.gif
barry-clari
Important

Just published on the Southeastern Trains website

There are no mainline trains running to Greenwich on the 20th September.

The only trains that will be running to Greenwich will be on the Docklands Light Railway. Probably the best way to get there is either from Bank direct on the DLR, or travel to Lewisham from Charing Cross, Waterloo East or London Bridge, then catch the DLR from there.

A gentle reminder, before I go across the Irish Sea.

I'll do a collection on the 1st September, and send any acknowledgements the same day, all being well. smile.gif

Ummm... E (bottom line), then, going up, F, F#, G, A, Bb, B, C, C#, D, E.

Think with those 11 notes, I'd be able to do something andante smile.gif
