If anyone of you pray, I'd be grateful if you would for my family tomorrow.
My nephew, John, had cystic fibrosis and last June had a double lung transplant at Papworth. He'd been having trouble with infections and rejection and last Sunday he died. He was only twenty. His funeral is tomorrow afternoon (19th).
We knew he was really ill, but always hoped he'd recover. My sister (his mum) spent hours each day doing his drugs etc and now he is gone.
Thanks.

Hi John
I don't pray but I am sending you true condolences and will think of you and your family tomorrow. I don't think words or thoughts can ease pain like this but we wish you peace and quiet hearts for warm memories.

So sorry to hear this, John - of course I'll pray for you all.
Life is so tough; you must all be terribly shocked. I hope the funeral helps you to grieve. This awful sorrow is the price we pay for loving someone - and I think it's worth paying.

Dear John what very sad news, words cannot express really how we feel when we hear of someone so young passing there seems no rhyme or reason to any of this and I can only hope that your families memories and love will help you all through this sad time in your lives.
I join everyone here sending my heartfelt condolences and prayers for your family at this very difficult time...

Thank you all for your kind words and prayers.
I've played the organ many times for funerals and have become use to coffins. When it is someone inside who you love though, then tears well easily! About three hundred people were at the service and he was clapped out of the church. I've never seen so many young people at a funeral before.
Thanks again.

Of course John. My prayers and thoughts are with you.
My much loved music teacher once said to me "I'm not a conventional church goer, but there is this thing about prayer and I'm always astonished at the power of it."
Her words carried me through a lot and I pass them on to you.
