Was just thinking about this whilst looking on eBay..

What do people think to a 'Wanted' forum and a 'For Sale' forum, however all items must be sold through ebay or a similar website?
That would be a safe way, and would be good, as im probably not alone in having some music to sell, but not having anywhere to actually advertise it. We, the forumites, could just report any posts that arent selling through a website such as ebay?

As it specifically states in the forum rules, that adverts of this nature aren't allowed, I don't think it'll happen. I suspect there's a legal thingamybobby that means ABRSM risks liability if adverts turn out to be misleading/ things go wrong between buyer and sellers...

Yes, this has been brought up before, but the legalities of having it connected to the ABRSM site were just too tricky I think...

I suspect it would attract dodgy types who want to gain a veneer of respectability by selling through this site .

Perhaps, but certain members have shamelessly posted for sale adverts in the past without remonition - I don't see why the rest of us shouldn't be allowed to do so too. Perhaps no for sale adverts until a certain number of valid posts has been acheived etc. I would like to get rid of several instruments and can't think of a better place to sell them than to people I like and know will enjoy them on here - but I have to resort to ebay and the likes instead. It's a shame.

I know what you mean, this way we could advertise what we have on ebay.

but also, i know about the no advertising rule, hence why im suggesting this, but making sure everything is sold thrugh ebay and not in some back alley. lol.
