For those of you who don't know, one can listen to small excerpts of the new Piano syllabus at the MP3 store of the ABRSM publishing website:

http://www.abrsmpublishing.dloadshop.com

Of course, one can also download the complete MP3s for £0.79-£0.99 per track (depending on grade) from the MP3 store.

I've had a listen to the Grade 8 tracks and have recognised the following pieces:

Handel: Fugue No.6 in G minor, HWV 610
Hindemith: Interludium (Pastorale)
Hindemith: Fuga Secunda in G major
J S Bach: Prelude & Fugue in F minor BWV 881
1st movement of J S Bach: Partita No.2 in C minor BWV 826 (Sinfonia)
Shostakovich: Prelude & Fugue in G major Op.87 No.3

Last movement of Beethoven: Piano Sonata in C minor, Op.10 No.1
1st movement of Clementi: Sonata in Bb major, Op.24 No.2
1st movement of Beethoven: Piano Sonata in E major, Op.14 No.1
Last movement of Mozart: Piano Sonata in F major, K.332
First movement of Mozart: Piano Sonata in C minor, K.457

Brahms: Intermezzo in B minor, Op.119 No.1
Prokofiev: March from The Love for Three Oranges, Op.33 (Prokofiev arranged this himself)
Chopin: Prelude in C# minor, Op.45
Debussy: Arabesque No.2
Liszt: Consolation No.3 in Db major
Rachmaninov: Moment Musical Op.16 No.3

Obviously this is not the complete list, just the pieces I recognise myself through my own playing.

If anyone has anything to add, then please do!

I hope the ABRSM publish the new syllabus online tomorrow, as I'm currently off work with a damaged knee and can't get to a music shop....
