I am having a huge clear out of my room and have come across my theory workbooks. I can't sell them/give them away as the work books are completed. I don't want to throw them away, so thinking about recycling, but can anyone think of any other options?

Mine get shredded and turned in to bedding for the pet rats. Then it goes in the composter and finally fertilises my veg patch.

Mine have got sentimental value - I'm keeping them for posterity! biggrin.gif

I've been having a similar state of affairs with revision guides... I guess they're easier to see to 'cos they're not written in!

You could always rub out the markings? tongue.gif

I keep all of mine. Of course they are coming in good use now that my son is doing Grade 3. I have kept all my past papers that I completed too, I never know when I may need to refer to them if I forget something.

I lent some Grade 5 papers to a little girl that was doing her exam in June.

I have kept all mine, filed away with music on my music shelves. They might have no use to me, but I worked hard for them!

I have kept mine and will smile.gif I sometimes look back through if I get stuck with something smile.gif
SaxFan
can't remember doing any, but of course I keep the certificate!

I like to rub the pencil markings out on mine and donate them by putting a post up saying 'any takers for free music theory books'? laugh.gif

I don't find keeping them useful in terms of reference. By the time i'm finished with them i've done all the questions more than once anyway and start knowing them off by heart! (I use the 'AB guides" and "First steps" as reference)... but I can understand keeping them for sentimental reasons biggrin.gif .

Hopefully (pending results) there will be a Grade 4 one up for grabs soon... providing I haven't done something completely terrible and have to re-take wacko.gif . Any one who is interested can PM me - I can post it out easily and cheaply to anywhere in the UK and I would understand if people only want to give out a PO box/ work address/ non-personal address or whatever, I wouldn't take offense at a 'better safe than sorry' attitude when it comes to internet safety. smile.gif

I've kept my theory books like the Eric Taylor one, just I never refer to these.

I've no idea what happened to mine. The only one currently around is a G7 one that needs working on....

I only seem to have grade 5 from 1976. blink.gif It's not taking up very much room, so I think it can stay.
Morgan's Munchkin
I keep mine for referance.
hello_cello
stingy people like me come take them away biggrin.gif

I was quite tempted to burn mine, but instead filed them away neatly. I'd say that I use them for looking up musical terms I don't know, but I learnt them all so darn well that I can speak fluent Italian provided you omit the verbs, nouns and conjuctives!
