Hi,
Do we have to use the old or new syllabus for scales, arpeggios, etc for exams in the coming November session?
I have a couple of pupils who will be playing the 'old' syllabus pieces so I'm wondering when the changes come into effect.
thanks!

use the 2008 syllabus for scales in November. Changes don't come into effect until 2009.
Great - thanks!
I was getting confused because for the overlap period the new syllabus should be used but that's not till the Spring I realise now...

You can for the pieces - but you must use the new syllabus for scales etc - in fact everything other than actual pieces.
