Ive just got a distinction in my grade 8 bassoon and was wonderin whether the next step would be to do a diploma?

Ive been told i should do one and was just wondering how much of a jump there is between grade 8 and diploma music?

Ive been doing some Tansman which i think is on the diploma list and found that ok.

What does it mean if ou have a diploma in music? whats are they for?

Basically im just asking if anyone can explain what theyre all about please.

And if anyone did one on bassoon and how they found it.
