My sister lives in America and is thinking about starting to teach piano there. Does anyone know if there is an equivalent to the ABRSM there? and what exams, if any, there are?

Piano exams aren't so popular in the US and few do them.
Personally, though I wouldn't want to live in the US, I'd love to teach piano because of the vast amount of teaching aids. It seems that whenever a piano teacher creates something to help, it gets marketed and goes on sale for the rest
...and of course, so inexpensive. They come up with some brilliant ideas.
I would suggest she joins one of the yahoo groups such as. Very active groups, mainly American piano teachers.
