I'm getting confused by all the different types of forum events - especially the different types of 'concert'.
Please could someone explain the differences between
a) Adult learner's concerts,
b) Forum concerts, and
c) Players for pleasure concerts?
Who are the different concerts for? Okay, I know adult learners concerts are persumably for 'adult learners', but how do the other types differ? What is meant by an 'adult learner'? Are the forum concerts for professionals only, and is this what distinguishes them from the adult learnersand players for pleasure concerts?
Sorry if it's a dim question.

Adult learner events : designed for adult learners to perform in a nice, unthreatening concert situation. Particularly aimed at beginners/intermediate players. Open to forum and non-forum people.
Forum concerts : designed for forum members to perform in a nice, unthreatening concert situation. Generally more groups (eg choirs, recorder groups) in forum concerts than adult learner events, where the emphasis is on solo and duets/trios. Some forum concerts, to muddy the waters a bit, do accept local people. Anglesey was like that, Chester will be like that. Unlike in adult learner events, you can perform in these on instruments that you are a professional standard on. AL events and forum concerts can be organised by a whole myriad of forum members.
Players for Pleasure events : Probably the nearest equivalent is the forum concerts with some local involvement. All Players for Pleasure events are organised by skylark.
There are many other events (eg orchestral playdays, handbell playday, flute playdays, recitals etc.) but most of those do what they say on the tin.
I think that's clear(ish)
