So G is the bottom line - just like the bass clef, so you'd think it wouldn't be too hard.
But I'm not that good at the bass clef anyway. And when it's with a treble recorder in my hand, my head explodes (never mind that it was a facsimilie edition with funny symbols all over the place, and two clefs at the front with different key signatures, and clefs that didn't really look like clefs anyway....)
And apparently, it was more commonly used for flute music than violin music...!
