Hi,
I plan to be a bio-technologist smile.gif but I also wish to pursue music forever because it means so much to me. Music is something that will forever dominate you once you start your association with it.
I think it is one of the greatest gifts to mankind. biggrin.gif

I would absolutley love to be a performer but I don't think it will happen now at my age.

I'm an Engineer - obviously no relation to music there ! But I have always loved music.

I am completely and utterly obsessed and in love with my piano and violin. wub.gif
I even dream about it.

Maybe I need help ? laugh.gif

I really can't get enough at the moment. My friends in the orchestra think I'm nuts doing GVI theory - call me an anorak, but who cares ?

The only complaint I have about taking up music as an adult is that the music school/colleges only cater for under 20yrs old. dry.gif

when i told my dad i wanted to learn piano, and promised him that i'll be a great performer.but when i am into it,i realise that it's not easy AT ALL!!!Age's certainly not a barrier, but we just need to face the music that performers are well-trained since they were small.am i right? but i am sure that my career would be related to music...i want them to be my life!although i might not earn a lot of money tongue.gif

Hi!
I play piano - i started about 3 years ago, doesnt seem like it. Am going to do Grd 8, after theory exam and once i have time to practice again (to much othere stuff to do serious practice atm). I also sing, I have sung since i was tiny, but only "properly" for 3 years (for my SG music), also doing grd8, once have time!
I play for the love of it, and to entertain otheres.
I am hoping to be a ballet danseur, however, if it falls through, i am planning on music theatre and either way, once am too old, will teach - i like teaching!
Am inspired by my music teacher (singing) - who is fantastic, tallent like that is weaisted on teaching, she should be out there making it big time (oops, small rant there)

1. As far as I possibly can.
2. I think being principal horn in an orchestra would satisfy me- I don't have any aspirations to be a soloist.
3. Of course I play for fun though- I love it!
4. I'm not sure- depends if I get into music college I suppose
5. I would be a totally different person without music. Whether I'd be a better person is a harder question. I don't know how I could live without it now though.
6. There was never any one particular person who inspired me. I did it for myself.
7. No, I never was and I never will be. Quite the opposite in fact! biggrin.gif

1) Well, I dream of reaching Grade 8 in one of my instruments.
2) Same as above.
3) Yes, I just play for the fun of it.
4) No it will never be my career. I'm 35, and not talented.
5) For the better, definitely. I can't imagine life without music.
6) Nobody in particular. Maybe kids at school who played an instrument.
7) No way! I choose to do it.

I feel lucky, in that I went to a school aged 11 that encouraged music-making. I got the chance to sing and learn the violin, and ended up taking O level and A level Music.

1) I want to become a professional musician, a composer, a director (if I can), and get a music degree.
2) I want to achieve DipABRSM at 16 years old in piano (the quicker the better) and maybe a Gr 8 for cello
3) I used to play it for fun but now, more seriously
4) Yes, I dream to become the greatest composer the world has ever known.... biggrin.gif
5) Of course it makes my life better, I can't imagine the world without any music
6) Inspired to do what?!? I got my inspiration of being a musician from lots of people, most of them well-known performers or composers. But only my mom who is still my teacher until now inspired me to start learn to play the piano when I was 4.
7) This is a bit difficult, because when I was still a little kid I didn't like to practice too much and was always forced to practice mad.gif But when I got older music was never forced on me ever again...in fact, it's really part of my life! I think music is better than any other form of art!

I decided to become a musician 2 years ago, and now I wanna be better than Beethoven or Mozart! Sounds crazy but I think that is still possible. biggrin.gif smile.gif biggrin.gif smile.gif

1) Really really far!
2) The highest stage ever!
3) nope! definately not! Last time, i used to play as a hobby, but now it's seriously serious!
4) Definately....eventhough i have to struggle a bit first because i started kinda late...but i don't care!
5) It made my life so much better...gets me away from depression + it made me smarter! tongue.gif
6) OMG (T__________T) Maksim....my idol...suffered so much...but plays such beautiful music. It's all the result of hardwork and determination! I am never going to ever forget him *sniff*
My flute teacher inspired me too smile.gif she left school though but she really motivated me smile.gif
7) Nope. I choose to learn smile.gif

Thinking back, actually no one forces me to learn instrument. I would say that, none of my family or relatives have any talent and passion for music. I was determined to learn piano when I was a teen, at first I intended to play it for fun. No passion for music. As time goes by, my passion for music actually developed from my inner self. I don't know actually who is the one inspire me, it just came natural. Now, I'm totally hooked with Classical Music and keen to learn more instruments. Like Nat, Cheeble & MilkyKitten as well as those who love music. "MUSIC IS MY LIFE & I WON'T GIVE UP TILL THE DAY I LEAVE THIS WORLD"

Music is a major part of my life, but I can live with silences. I need to realise that music are thoughts. It's natural to have thoughts. If I don't have anything good to listen to, I would into silence and listen to my inner voice's sweat songs.

Of course, I need to project my inner voice outwards. That's why I play the piano. smile.gif
